Xmas Cactus (Schlumbergera truncata?) 12/17/13
I bought this and the next plant at my local Smith’s supermarket. I’m super impressed with how many buds (75?), just ready to open are on their plants, and how reasonable ($13) the price is. I tried to not chill the plant on the way home and I seem to have been successful. This is the only good thing I can say about the local Smith’s. I’m sure that the manager isn’t responsible for the quality of the plant. Nothing else in the store impresses me as quality. (By the way, getting me to part with $13 for a cactus is a real good trick.)   (21/24)
