Trichocereus purpureopilosus     8/16/19
This has to be THE plant of the Trichocereus genus to own. Tremendous flowers appearing over two months or more in mid- to late-summer. You can control the size of the plant easily by the size of the pot. The plant pictured is in a 5" (12.5 cm) pot. Make the pot deeper, say a gallon type pot (3.6 liters) and the plant will be very much bigger. Unfortunately, the flowers of all cacti are not much affected by pot size after a certain limit.   (10/40)
