One of the criticisms of Darwin was that he posited a variation in living systems that were not real. But, the people who did this criticizing never bothered to look at variation of plants (or animals). They were mostly English well-to-do people who hired gardeners to maintain their gardens. They never stopped to look for variation. Darwin, yes he was rich, did stop, and found variation. These six plants came out of the same seed batch from Mesa Garden. No imagination is necessary to see the variation in flower color patterns.   (47/72)
