Echinocereus davisii     2/21/21
This is not the smallest flowering cactus, but close. I think it has the most outrageously sized flowers for the plant size. The brass thing that I'm using as a photo aid is actually a watering hose quick disconnect, which is about an inch (2.5 cm) in diameter. You can just barely see some pieces of the plant body and some spines past the flowers. The plant is native to some hills north of Big Bend National Park in West Texas. (09/32)
