Echinocereus X ? "Pink Hybrid"     4/6/21
And here is another creation from my hands. As for the preceding, I have no idea how I did this. This hybrid also comes true from seeds. Crossing is more problematical, however. I think that some parentage is from Echinocereus coccineus. This species, and my pink hybrid above, are dioecious. That is, flowers are either male or female, and one plant only has one kind. Most cacti have perfect flowers. That is, the flowers have male parts (anthers) and female parts (pistils) on every flower. I think that the plant above is a female. Female flowers can have vestigial anthers. No pollen, however. (24/32)
