Neoporteria villosa 12/14/21
A great reason to grow Neoporterias. I decided that I hate the neologism ("lumping") that Fred Kattermann introduced - Eriosyce for all of them, and others. It may help some simplifying need of taxonomy, but it's no help to us who grow the things! The old genera are helpful if only to focus on a collection of similar cultivation problems. Eriosyce for all only tells us that they all have hairy fruit. Ok. Then tell me how to grow them. Please. Pretty please? Nuts. Useless, those taxonomists. In spite of their beliefs, G-d is not an Englishman.
