Six Echinofossulocactus lamellosus hastatus showing change from juvenile to adult spines     9/12/16
I discovered these six more or less accidentally when I was organizing my plants. The top two plants have the juvenile spines. The bottom left plant shows almost complete adult spines, and the other three show a mixture. I’ve been trying to make such a series of plants without success. I lucked into it! Very young seedlings of this species, by the way, have a yet different spination. They display super long hair-thin centrals.   (33/40)
